Brunico

Brunico is the closest town to Alta Badia, in fact it lies only 33 km away.
It is a lovely little town with an ancient centre bustling with life.

No matter from where you come from, you will notice the Castle Brunico dominating over the town, an ancient residence of the bishop from where the trading and the whereabouts of the citizens could be controlled.

• We recommend a stroll through the city gate into the “Stadtgasse”, the main shopping street. All along this street closed to traffic you will be surrounded by shops selling latest fashion next to traditional craft embedded in residential buildings.

• Keep an eye on the old frescos that still decorate some of the buildings, maybe while sitting outside and enjoying the sun and a good cappuccino!
