MT-Bike: Round trip Pralongià
This fairly gentle mountain bike tour kicks off in Corvara. From the very beginning you will be able to relax as the long, gradual descent to the nearby village of La Villa (approx. 3.5 miles) is a real bliss.
You will be riding through a deep and lush forest and the only noise heard will be the splashing of the river Gadera. Once you get to La Villa and passed the football pitch, you will be allowed to take your bike onto the Piz la Villa cable car.
Dedicate a moment of silence to the amazing scenery that opens up in front of you while you get lifted to the top of Piz La Villa. You will fell like in a postcard frame, surrounded by an enchanted garden of towering peaks and verdant meadows.
Underneath the cable car you will be able to see the Gran Risa, the ski slope that every year hosts one of the most difficult men’s giant slalom of the alpine ski world cup, a breathtaking descent in the middle of the forest. Once you get to the top, hop on your bike and follow the signs to Pralongià.
As you will have reached a considerable height by cable car, the way to Pralongià will be fairly soft. It will be a constant up and down on gravel roads once narrow and once broad.
The beauty of this tour is the lack of really steep and demanding ascents and the wonderful panoramic views. Once you get to the Rifugio Pralongià there are two options.
You can either continue cycling along the small path taking you through the magnificent, high altitude pastures of Störes leading to the mountain Settsass or you can start your descent to Corvara.
What we recommend

- For your protection, wear mountain bike gloves and helmet.
- The trip lasts around 3 to 4 hours, plenty of time for a hearty luch at the Rifugio Pralongià or at the nearby Rifugio Punta Trieste.
- Difficulty: Advanced
